The figure is the central axis of many of our compositions, it brings movement, freshness and character to each of our creations. Understanding its worth and importance to integrate it into the scene is fundamental. With this course we are going to analyze, develop and explain this fact. More than 4 hours of explanations with three practical exercises of figures integrated into different scenes with their own characteristics: an open beach with overhead light, a composition of a couple of figures in daylight and finally an urban scene with various figures and a cloudy sky.

Javier Zorrilla, with his more than 25 years of experience as a professional and teacher, will discover us and transmit all his knowledge and passion to plan our works, define our compositions, synthesize our work and give it that feeling of vitality, action and naturalness that our figuresthey need.

Purpose of the courses

This course is aimed at artists or painters, amateurs or professionals who want to know techniques, resources and procedures to learn, improve or develop their talent in the watercolor technique, especially in figures.

Requirements

Personal computer or tablet to view the videos. It is also possible to use a smartphone, although we recommend larger screen sizes to better appreciate details.

As for the material to practice, paper, brushes, watercolors, pencil or mechanical pencil are recommended. The materials, we reiterate, are recommended. The tutorial can be done without all the materials or in formats other than those oriented in the video.

Javier Zorrilla

Javier Zorrilla

Javier Zorrilla (Madrid). Painter specialized in watercolor.

Javier Zorrilla trained in painting studios in the workshops of the painters José Luís Ferrer and Teresa Muñiz.

He is a member of the Spanish Association of Watercolorists and vice president of the Guadalajara Association of Watercolorists. He teaches classes in his studio in Madrid and in various cities around the country, as well as in Sweden, Italy and Brazil.

Throughout his more than 25-year career, he has been a professor of watercolor at the Ibercaja Cultural Center in Guadalajara and at the Alda con Limón Art School in Madrid, and has won numerous awards during his career. He held individual exhibitions in Spain and abroad. He with work in Museums, various institutions and Town Halls. He has represented Spain in great number of Events and Biennials abroad.
