In this course, we travel to the Natural Park of Las Lagunas de Ruidera together with the painter Fermín García Sevilla to offer step by step how to make a painting from nature combining in the same painting the essence of the vegetation, the intensity of light and all the life that water brings, its behavior and its treatment in our work.

A complete work to enjoy the mastery of the brushstroke, the capacity for synthesis in the composition, the sense of less is more, the study of color, perspective and light reflections in the water, our central topic.

Through 10 videos of more than 3 hours duration we will see:

  • Materials, brushes, support, pigments and other utensils.
  • Observation of the environment, composition, importance of the separation of planes.
  • Light sources, transitions, values and tonalities.
  • Application of the first stains in acrylic and transition to oil.
  • The aerial perspective in the application of the different landscape terms.
  • Cast shadows, color casts, horizon lines.
  • Volumes, harmonies and contrasts of light and shadow.

    Otro gran curso de Fermin Garcia Sevilla,para poder comprobar como traslada a lienzo un paisaje al aire libre con sus fascinantes técnicas y las explicaciones del maestro.Es increíbl como cambia toda la luz del cuadro en instantes al cambiar en una sesión la luz natural.Lo recomiendo 100 %. Me hubiera gustado un último video con los retoques en estudio para conseguir la obra final

    El maestro no defrauda nunca, no ya como pintor excepcional, sino que se adivina en el un buen hombre “en el buen sentido de la palabra bueno”, que decía Machado. Hice el primer curso con “paisajes del natural” y utilicé sus enseñanzas (Lo que puedo llevar al lienzo desde mi escaso conocimiento, en un retrato ambientado en la naturaleza.
    Ahora estoy haciendo otro donde se ve parte de pinar monte bajo en una zona de Tenerife y que publicaré aquí cuando lo termine.
    Me ha servido mucho, sobre todo en este, las clases del maestro.
    Siempre se aprende de él, porque comunica muy bien desde la naturalidad del que es un genio …aunque el maestro jamás presume. Lo decimos los que admiramos su obra.

    Tanto éste curso como el anterior te deja con ganas de más, es tan buen pintor como Maestro, sólo tengo palabras de elogio y agradecimiento hacia Fermín, porque por él he podido avanzar en lo mucho o poco que sé. Mi valoración es 10, y deseando de otro curso más.

    El maestro Fermín García Sevilla es único, recreando con absoluta maestría la naturaleza, con el óleo. Su destreza con el óleo es sublime; el uso del color, la entonación y la delicadeza que utiliza casando paso a paso todo ello, consigue hacer del arte pictórico un arte de envolvente ambiente, en donde recrear la vista, consiguiendo paraísos naturales dignos del mejor museo.

    Sin lugar a dudas, es un curso en donde nos muestra con total transparencia, su excelente trabajo, explicando y mostrando todo al detalle. Grande entre los grandes incluso a la hora de enseñar y mostrar el Don de su increíble talento.

Purpose of the courses

During this course you will learn step by step to make a natural landscape integrating the vegetation, mountainous background, water and its reflections in a complete composition from start to finish.

Who these are for?

This course is aimed at painters, amateurs or professionals who want to know techniques, resources and procedures to learn, improve or develop their talent in the field of landscape painting.

Requirements

This course is aimed at painters, amateurs or professionals who want to know techniques, resources and procedures to learn, improve or develop their talent in the field of landscape painting.

Computer personal or tablet to view the videos. It is also possible to use a smartphone, although we recommend larger screen sizes to better appreciate details. On the other hand, each one will be able to use the preferred material (watercolor palette, brushes, paper of greater or lesser quality...) to carry out the practices. During the first part of the course, Francisco Castro will make some fundamental recommendations.

The materials, we reiterate, are recommended. The tutorial can be done without all the materials or in formats other than those oriented in the tutorials.

The important thing is to practice, practice and practice again the exercise proposed by the artist.

About the artist

Fermín García Sevilla

Spanish painter ( Tomelloso, Ciudad Real 1961)

He is a self-taught plastic artist who has developed his work in the reproduction of natural landscapes. Throughout his career he has received numerous awards and has been distinguished with many other awards. Among them, the following stand out: First prize in the National Contest of the Alpujarras in Capileira (Granada) in 2014; the First National Prize “Autonomous City of Melilla” in 2010; or the "Sevillian Endesa Foundation" Award from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Santa Isabel de Hungary in Seville in 2009, to mention just three of those awards.

The landscapes that Fermín García Sevilla paints are spaces that he recreates without losing detail but that envelop the viewer as if it were a single and indivisible whole. And it is that in his proposals the artist pays special attention to the distribution of the elements so that they guide the gaze of those who contemplate it, following a logic that turns the work into a close and friendly discourse.

In his work, García Sevilla uses a mixed technique, although with a preponderance of oil, which allows him to get the most out of drawing and color. In all of his proposals, the suggestive brushstrokes and the play of light stand out. His themes drink from the very Nature that he knows as experience, a fact that makes his paintings seem alive.
